Welcome to Cirencester Choral Society
We’re back - at last!
Covid-19 has prevented us singing together for 16 months but the July relaxation of the national rules has now allowed us to meet again and make an early start to rehearsing for our 2021-22 season. We’re following Covid-precautionary measures to keep us all as safe as possible until the pandemic finally fades.
Provisional concert plans can be found under the future events tab. We’ll confirm the details as soon as we can, so please visit the site again for updates.
In the meantime, if you are interested in joining us, please go to the Join Us page which tells you how to apply for membership.
We are a thriving and friendly society of around 100 members performing autumn and spring concerts each year, supplemented by biennial charity Christmas concerts and summer choral workshops. Under the direction of Carleton Etherington, and with the support of professional soloists and orchestras, we perform unjustifiably neglected works as well as the more popular favourites from the choral repertoire and our concerts are well reviewed.
By keeping our ticket prices affordable and membership rates competitive, we attract good audiences and maintain a high membership level, thus making an important contribution to the cultural life of our town.
The Society is a registered charity and is affiliated to Making Music.
