So that we can properly consider applications from potential new members and plan for the new season, we need to know exactly who will be returning. So:

  1. If you are a Paid-up Member for the current season and intend to return in September you need DO NOTHING and we’ll look forward to seeing you on the 3rd September or before.
  2. If you are a Paid-up Member for the current season and DO NOT intend to return in September please email as soon as you can.
  3. We are aware of several members who, for personal reasons, may not be certain and we would like to hear from you too.

Thank you

There are still a few members who haven’t yet indicated whether, or not, they intend to come to the August Rehearsals with Nia. Please do so asap.

You are still in time to order the Composite Learning CDs for the Rutter Requiem and Fauré Requiem which will be available in August at £11. If you would like one, please email:  indicating whether you sing 1st or 2nd when your part splits.

Thank you, those who have ordered one and, if not and you have no other way of learning your part, you should seriously consider doing so and not rely on your neighbour to help you.

For the term starting on 7th January 2020 and culminating in the 2nd May concert we will be preparing the four Coronation Anthems by G F Handel which many of us have sung before and Let God Arise by Thomas Linley the younger which we bet none of us has sung before!

Thomas Linley
by Gainsborough         G F Handel by Balthasar Denner

(Thomas (Tom) Linley the younger (7 May 1756 – 5 August 1778) was the eldest son of the composer Thomas Linley the elder. He was one of the most precocious composers and performers that have been known in England and became known as the “English Mozart”. Read more here:
