Members’ Newsletter 4th March 2020

Obviously, we are all concerned at the spread of the Coronavirus and the effect it may have on our activities. For the time being, though, rehearsals continue for our concert on the 2nd May unless and until circumstances dictate otherwise. Meanwhile please take all the personal precautions recommended by the authorities and we do suggest that you check your emails before leaving for rehearsals in case we need to make a late cancellation.

For now, let’s press ahead with learning and polishing the great celebratory music in front of us. Most of you have recordings of some sort for learning and revision (if you don’t, have a word with Tim) – please use them so that Carleton doesn’t have to go back and remind us. We should all aim to be able to sing a movement at least as well as we did last time. Don’t be one of those with heads down wondering whether you’ve ever seen this before! Just imagine, if you were the Conductor, how you’d feel!

SO, WASH YOUR HANDS, DO YOUR HOMEWORK, KEEP CARLETON HAPPY AND MAKE THIS THE ‘BEST EVER’ CONCERT!
